Not to overlook a child who has been played out ... but nice hardwood floors!
-----
[BusyDad] Thanks! Because I did the floors myself :) It was 70's wall-to-wall carpeting when we moved in.
It takes a good week to catch up from Disney, it appears. I WISH my kids would fall exhausted amidst their toys. They simply throw the toys about and leave.
KEEP BELIEVING
-----
[BusyDad] This was a rare photo-worthy moment indeed. Momentary respite. He's back in full gear as I type.
I've been sorting old photos and found one of C sleeping next to his bath. Apparently he got out and just decided he was too tired to get on his jammies and go to sleep.
When kids are tired, they are TIRED. Very cute photo!
-----
[BusyDad] Now that's funny! And when they do conk out, NOTHING will wake them up. Naptime is the best time to vacuum Fury's room.
Excellent! Disney does take a toll! And nice hard play.
And ditto the comment on the floors. Nice job.
-----
[BusyDad] Ignore that major seam visible in the picture, and yeah, I did a great job! haha
I love looking at tired kids. Mess or no mess... tired means I am gonna get a good nights rest! :) I love that you have plastic bins... so organized!
-----
[BusyDad] Bins - so much easier than shelves. I tried shelves. Unsuccessfully.
Wow, was that an F5????
Maureen
Still Blog Hoppin'
-----
[BusyDad] At least! There are Transformer limbs all over the house.
My kids NEVER fall asleep like that. What did you drug him with?
-----
[BusyDad] Oh no - he wasn't asleep. Just pausing a moment to get his second wind. But even a pause is noteworthy for this boy!
Ha...Looks a lot like me after a rough day :)
-----
[BusyDad] Me too. Except unlike him, I STAY down. He was back to his whirlwind ways a few seconds after this was snapped.
Now multiply that times 4 and make it all pink and you got my playroom! Love that the little dude just took a rest there! Wish I could crash wherever...
-----
[BusyDad] Childhood has its privileges!
Hmm.. I kinda felt like that all day today? What a cute shot though!! and I agree love the wood floors!! Nice work!
-----
[BusyDad] I love getting compliments on my manly-man handiwork :)
Thanks for the chuckle!
BlogHopping Your Way
-----
[BusyDad] No problem :) I love putting up easy posts that require no wording whatsoever!
Wow. That NEVER happens here, mine never seem to stop moving. You can tell he had a full day!
blog hopper,
Anastasia Beaverhousin
-----
[BusyDad] He had just finished wolfing down 4 pancakes. Food coma was my expert diagnosis.
Awesome . . . toy-nado . . . hee hee. We get those too!
-----
[BusyDad] They tend to hit hardest on the weekends, when you're trying to sleep in, don't they?
*lol*
-----
[BusyDad] That's exactly what I did. Then I ran to get my camera.
Now that was a familiar scene in my house! We've caught our boys asleep in the middle of homemade racetracks. In doorways to their rooms. At the kitchen counter when they were just too tired to stay awake to eat another bite. :)
Too cute!
-----
[BusyDad] Kids falling asleep while eating = funniest clips ever.
We have eleventy million toys bins just like Furys..Praise the higher powers for inventing them! It must have been some darm intense playing to sack him out like that.Hope you used the time well. ;p
-----
[BusyDad] Those bins rule. I got them like 70% off after Xmas because they were "holiday" storage. Score!!
That is hilarious! My kiddo never does that either, but he is still more baby than toddler -- I've got my fingers crossed for more sleep in a few months!
-----
[BusyDad] Don't ever hope for sleep. You will only be disappointed ;)
How did you get in my house and take a picture without me knowing it? Oh wait, that's not my house, the wood floor isn't covered with muddy pawprints and dirty socks.
-----
[BusyDad] We always have muddy pawprints, as we have a poop eater as well. I too find socks the best method for paw print clean up. Shhh don't tell d Wife!
hey you!!! long time...
that is sooooo what happens at my house! i find ross (my 4 year old)passed out in the strangest places. one day, he was sitting on the stairs, having a temper tantrum. it suddenly got quiet so, i went to investigate...he was sound asleep, draped over a couple of stairs...see, that's why i should figure out the stinking camera, already!!
great picture...love it!!
xoxo
-----
[BusyDad] Hey! It's been too long. I gotta get my butt over to catch up on your posts too. Haha - you STILL haven't figured out that camera???
Is he asleep? LOL His toy boxes look just like my son's!!
-----
[BusyDad] Nope. Merely on pause. I love stackable containers.
Down for the count! Nice.
-----
[BusyDad] Even the best go down every once in a while...
um...hilarious - and i so GET IT. lol
we have those a few times a DAY!
hehehhehhee
and YES, please link me to the Hoppers....so sorry took me a minute to get back to ya! ;-)
a-licious in da hizzzzouse!
-----
[BusyDad] He's not the energetic young toddler he used to be ;) Gotcha on the Hoppers...
Fury's favorite auntie Mei fell asleep over the back of a couch upside down when she was about Fury's age. Let me see if I can send you the picture over.
mom
-----
[d Son] Thanks mom! I will post it!
Okay, I gotta ask... what ARE those shoes he's wearing?
-----
[BusyDad] It's hard to tell, but they're just regular black flip flops. In the picture they do look like some exotic funky shoe.
I admire kids that can pass out anywhere. I think Callie and Lily may have done that once...when they were six months old.
-----
[BusyDad] He learned from the best.
Death by toys?
-----
[BusyDad] At least temporary incapacitation.
His toys are still more organized than my boys toys. Is that you, or Mom, or him? Either of you want to hop on a plane and help with our Okie style toy-nado?
-----
[BusyDad] Mom's idea, Dad's execution. Fury the tornado. I'm sure fury would love to go help. I bet they got cool toys!
If you wave a fresh batch of Legos under his nose he can be revived.
-----
[BusyDad] haha!! I am so going to stash a few of those in the emergency medical kit. Brilliant tactic.
Biyatch, that ain't nothing. You should see MY house.
-----
[BusyDad] Dammit, MC! You outdid me on the gourmet cookery too! You're very lucky that you are one badass mama and I worship your blog.
Ok, so why is kids never seem to crash out like that when parents actually WANT them to crash out? I know mine never do!!
Great pic, though!
-----
[BusyDad] If they were predicable and did what we wanted, we'd have nothing to blog about. I'm a glass half full guy... can you tell?
*laughing*
I am assuming that this whirlwind occurred as a direct result of Fury's actions? Because, sadly, we get "Toy-nados" at our house, too, but our son is only 7 months old and can't get his own toys...I shudder to think about what that says about us! *hehehe*
Rock on, Busy!
-----
[BusyDad] Ah, one of the joys of parenting: leaving the house in disarray and blaming the kid. You gotta start blaming it on the kid, my friend - no one will question it.
What a great caption! :) thanks for the smile.
have a great day!
-----
[BusyDad] Thanks! That caption created itself.
Toy nado, that's hilarious. It's like a freakin' Toy-nami here everyday. I kid you not. I'm afraid to post pictures.
Great post!
-----
[BusyDad] Child-perpetrated natural disasters are too much for mere mortals (i.e. non parents)
Wow, I need some of those toys. Mine don't work like that.
-----
[BusyDad] It's not the toy. It's the quantity. Scattered about. Causes confusion and momentary passing out.
Love this pic! And the old school one listed in your post above.
-----
[BusyDad] Thanks! It was a very rare photo opportunity. That's for sure!
