Check out my new About Me blurb. Notice anything different? Yup. No more 4-hour round-trip commute. No more job. I'd love to take up 4 or 5 paragraphs lamenting about office politics, but I will spare you the details. Fate Loves to Screw With Me
I give up. Fate has my number. I'll never win. I have vowed all my life never to own a "wimpy dog." Isn't that as simple as avoiding any situation where I could possibly make a transaction of this nature, you ask? Yes, one would think so. But no, Fate is craftier than that.
Leap of Faith #3: 4 Days, 4 Theme Parks, 3 Kids… Buckle Up.
Ok, so this isn’t really a leap of faith per se. I’ve been wracking my brain to find a leap for this week and I just couldn’t come up with one (I have good ones lined up for the next two weeks though). Taking 3 kids under the age of 6 to 4 theme parks in 4 days is more like a suicidal leap off a cliff. Close enough, right? An easy read for a Friday night, as this is mostly pictures.

Leap of Faith Friday: Homies on a Train
One of my best blogging pals, Christine at Chicken Fried Therapy came up with a killer idea: Leap of Faith Fridays. Since this February is a leap year, she and a few brave souls are going to bare it all this month. Leap of Faith Fridays are all about removing yourself from your comfort zone and taking that flying leap. Into what, we don’t know. That’s the point. It could be an embarrassing video you’ve kept hidden under your bed, it could be starting a project you never thought possible, or it could be as simple as telling a tale of a time you had to cross your fingers and hope that you wouldn’t get robbed by a roving band of ex-cons. What? How convenient! I’ve got one of those. Well, this first post is going to be easy. But stay tuned. We have potential blackmail material all month long. Every Friday this month. That’s five for those of you playing at home.

La Revolucion will be showing at 6:25
It’s illegal to yell “Fire!” in a movie theater, but what about inciting a popular uprising? I guess that’s ok, because Amnesty International hasn’t added Marcus “Fury” Lin to their roster of political prisoners to campaign for. But I’m afraid this episode only inched my son another step closer toward a coveted spot on the CIA watch list for future political rabble rousers.
The Musical Misery Tour
"Music hath charms to soothe a savage beast" but music lessons hath potential to thoroughly bore the average child. There's no doubt that music lessons can enhance a child's cognitive and creative abilities. Just make sure you don't drive the kid nuts with all that enhancing.

There’s nothing like catching a live band in a rowdy bar. Bikers, beer and … kids? Yup, if my son gets picked up by the law on the day of his junior high graduation for starting a bar fight, I can look back on this day as the tipping point. Video clip.
