A Little "Gorilla" Marketing

Hey folks, a quick follow-up to yesterday's post about the book Don't Touch That! If you purchase (or win) the book and throw a review or plug up on your blog, Jeff will draw a digital pic of your kid(s) with their favorite animal and email it to you. Just send him an email (jeffdaycartoons@gmail.com) with a link to your post, a pic of your kid(s), their animal of choice and he'll get crackin'!

Kinda like this...

Way cool. I hope I win. Or I'll purchase. Either way.

[BusyDad] Z-Dub as a toon would be awesome!

Sadly, I don't think I will win this one. Because I don't think my kids would have a story that they deemed creppy or gross, not wiht an insect. And my experiences are more along the lines of bites in personal areas, or bad plants I get into while peeing out in the woods. But hey, good luck to everyone!
-----
[BusyDad] The book has a whole chapter on plants! Bring on the story!

Wow. I'm an idiot. I never realized that picture was THAT picture. Duh.
-----
[BusyDad] I have been oblivious to more conspicuous things. As parents, our brain cells are on-call for more important things.

At least your his favorite animal...
-----
[BusyDad] You know how hard it was to wrestle that title away from Ligers?

He captures you two so well! :)
-----
[BusyDad] Totally. I've always been amazed at Jeff's ability to do that.

I love love love the comics! You guys are too cute!
-----
[BusyDad] Thanks! Leave it to Jeff to make a 35 yr old man cuddly.

Oh how fun!! My boys would love that!
-----
[BusyDad] Speaking from experience, it is way cool being a Jeff Day cartoon.

Hi busy dad...just wanted to check in now that chemo is done and I'm heading back to normalllllll

[BusyDad] Dorothy! Glad to see you back here and congrats on getting your life back to normal! Normal is good.

Can I get a 'Hellz to the Yeah'? That's awesome. My kids would flip over that, well... one would flip over both and the other would try to eat it.
-----
[BusyDad] MMMHMM! and ... yum?

July 8, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterrachel

I'm going to do it! Bella wanted to know if Goobie could be her animal though...hmm...
-----
[BusyDad] I'm sure he could draw them both with their favorite animals! Or each other if they like each other better than pandas or something...

July 8, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMaria

Oh that is so awesome. Seriously. If I wasnt already gonna get the book, I would buy one JUST for that.
-----
[BusyDad] I think a pic of Fury and SBJ royally messing up the table with their milk bubbles at Dave and Busters would be classic.

Awesome!
-----
[BusyDad] Props to Jeff for that idea!

Is a stuffed bunny (a la Bada) consindered an animal? Abby has her own version of Bada complete with unravelling stitching, no neck due to stuffing being squeezed to the top and bottom only, etc. Bunny used to be a pretty soft pink but is now a combination of a snot, tears, pink and dingy gray from repeated washings. But I digress - animal or no?
-----
[BusyDad] Animal. Totally.

Suh-weet! Very cool redition of you and Fury. I wouldn't have put the two together either, but seeing them side-by-side it was a "duh moment" for me.
-----
[BusyDad] :) I love that pic. I'm used to duh moments. I have about 5 a day myself.

This is WAY too hard to pass up. I'm all over it.
-----
[BusyDad] I personally would love to see your pack of dawgs immortalized in cartoon format.

I never win anything...but I hold out hope. And I'm a PUBLICITY HOOR kind of for a living (marketing, ya know), so I'll plug away if I do.
-----
[BusyDad] Same here. Marketing dude. I can hoor with the best of em! Selling out is cool too.

Ooooh, yeah! What a fantastic idea. That I am all over! His book has been on my list for a while now, but that offer is pushing me over the top. Must. get. the book. now.

BTW, I'm with Momo and Tara - didn't put those two together until I saw them right next to each other. Ha!
-----
[BusyDad] Too funny. I never changed my About Me photo after he drew the BusyDad comic one because they "matched" oh well... :)
